R d WEBSTER LONDON

           Richard Webster a member of a famous clock making family working in Exchange Alley London, was free of the clockmakers company in 1779 and worked until 1807. The Webster’s were well-known for the quality of their clocks.      

Rd WEBSTER of  LONDON HUGE WOODEN FUSEE  DIAL WALL CLOCK WITH AN ALARM < IF YOU HAVE TROUBLE GETING UP WITH THE ALARM IN THE MORNING TRUST ME THIS WILL WAKE YOU UP > THERE ARE 2   6 INCH BELLS 1 EITHER SIDE OF THE CASE INSIDE  2 DOORS  WITH SOUND FRETS  THE LARGE FUSEE MOVEMENT IS  VERY VERY GOOD QUALITY  5 PILLER AS YOU WOULD EXPECT ATTACHED TO THE WOODEN DIAL VIA A FALSEPLATE  THE CAST CONCAVED BRASS BEZEL HAS ITS A LOCK AND KEY THE WOODEN DIAL IS 20 INCHES ACROSS  THE CLOCK WITH ITS MAHOGANY SURROUND IS 23 INCHES WIDE  THERE ARE 4 PEGS WHICH HOLD THE DIAL TO THE MAHOGANY SALTBOX  CASE A GREAT VERY LARGE WOODEN DIAL CLOCK THAT DATES TO 1790  £5,500
